garment care/washing advice

How do I clean my cloth face masks?

All masks are 100% washable by hand or by machine (preferably tucked inside a delicates bag) on cold or warm water wash and air dry. Remember to remove your filter from the filter pocket - set it aside: do not wash the filter. You can toss the mask in the washing load along with your clothing. Make sure your elastic/jersey toggles are pushed up so they don't slip off during the washing process. When you're drying the mask, reshape it to dry as if it were on a face. Warm or steam iron on them is fine, just be sure not to scorch the elastic.

How long will my PM2.5 filter last? Do I wash it?

PM2.5 filters should not be washed. They should be aired out during the washing of your masks. Each filter has about a 24-hour long life span (that is in continuous wearing hours). Therefore, if you wear your mask for no longer than an hour at a time, your filter, with proper care and treatment should last for 24 trips!

Can I wash hair accessories?

All hair accessories are made from 100% cotton.

My "Double Infinity" and "Rosey" Hairbands will respond better to washing. If they need a good ironing, steam press is okay just be mindful of the stretchy tube where the elastic is... ironing the elastic will scorch it. They are washable or spot treat with cold water by hand. I recommend you let them air dry flat and stream press them once they are dry to get back the crispness.

I do not recommend you machine or hand wash the "GaGa" or "CoCo" hair bows. Spot treat only.

How do I wash bonnets?

Bonnets are made from 100% cotton and are machine or hand washable (or spot treat) - always on cold in a delicates bag. Do not dry in a machine! Let it air dry flat. Steam press to get those crisp edges back!

 How do I wash bloomies?

Bloomies are made from 100% cotton and are machine or hand washable - always on cold in a delicates bag. Do not dry in a machine unless you are insanely pressed for time...Ideally, let it air dry flat. Steam to get those wrinkles out - be careful with an iron as you don't want to scorch the leg and waistband elastics.
