Hello there and thank you for visiting my online shop!
I'm Tif Bullard and I am an artist, wife, and mama of 3 young children: my daughter, Gossamer True (7.5), my son, Zephyr One (4), and my daughter, Cosmos Dharma (newly 1). I am a Broadway costume designer who has designed internationally, in NYC on and off-Broadway, regionally in Chicago on major stages, off-Loop theaters, and experimental theater groups, created looks for Betsey Johnson local fashion shows, acted as stylist for numerous acts, and also performed as an actor, performer, dancer, and curator on stage, independent and feature film, national and regional commercials, and performance venues in New York and Chicago.
I have an MFA in Performance from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA from DePaul University's School for New Learning with a concentration in Solo Performance.
I have enjoyed sewing and creating fiber arts for theater, for my own solo and group performance work as well as tinkering about in my studio for my own personal enjoyment. Opening tifbullard.com has been a goal of mine and much like my performance work, is rooted in midwest sensibility, European quality, and leans towards vintage handy-craft charm with a modern edge. I create only what I'd like to buy myself.
My mask-making journey started with me using my sewing skills to create cloth masks to those in need at the end of March 2020, well before the CDC decided cloth masks should become the new necessity. Using my own sewing stash and hoarded elastic and filters, I created a design that was sustainable, comfortable, and functional. I have sewn over 2,000 cloth face masks for family, friends, customers, and donation.
It is my intention to grow this shop, expanding into creative adventures and boutique niches - creating objects that make you feel special...connecting you back to artisan hand made goods with a story behind it. In future look for cards, customized scented ritual-based roll ons and candles, children's clothing, hair accessories, embroideries, one-of-a-kind home goods and artistic experiments. Let's grow together and see where we end up!
